Richard F. Chambers named to Directorship 100

NACD, Accounting Today Recognize IIA Global President
Reflecting his significant influence as a thought leader for good corporate governance, The Institute of Internal Auditors President and CEO Richard F. Chambers has again been name to two prominent Top 100 industry lists.
For the second consecutive year, Chambers was ranked among the National Association of Corporate Directors’ Directorship 100 of Governance Professionals. Chambers also makes an appearance in Accounting Today’s Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting for the third straight year.
“I am truly gratified to be included once again on the NACD Directorship 100 list and Accounting Today’s Top 100 list,” said Chambers, CIA, QIAL, CGAP, CCSA, CRMA. “I am humbled to be included along with so many accomplished governance professionals, distinguished board members and industry leaders, and I proudly accept these acknowledgements on behalf of The IIA and its more than 180,000 members worldwide.”
NACD’s eighth-annual list honors the most influential people in corporate boardrooms and governance based in part on professionalism and integrity. The honorees will be recognized at a Dec. 3 gala in New York City.
Accounting Today’s listing, which appears annually as a special report in the publication’s September issue, recognizes leaders, regulators, and visionaries in the industry and related professions who help shape accounting. Among those recognized are American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) President and CEO Barry Melancon, and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chair Mary Jo White.
